An Ayr community is pulling together to help those affected by tonight's explosion with several hubs opening their doors to provide support and shelter.Amongst those currently open are the Queen Margaret Academy, Kincaidston Community Centre and Ayr St Columba Church on Midton Road.South Ayrshire Council say the academy is being utilised as a 'rest centre' for local people.Bob Bartholomew, who is session clerk at Ayr St Columba Church, said: "The church is here to help in any way we can."We've got a warm hall here and tea and coffee; even if people just want to sit quietly and come to terms with the situation."We'll be open for a few hours yet.
