Newcastle's Premier League clash with Aston Villa which was scheduled for Friday has been postponed after a significant number of staff and players in the Magpies squad tested positive.The Magpies had to cancel a planned training session on Sunday before ordering a deep clean of the club's Benton training base after a significant number of players and staff tested positive from the first-team 'bubble'.Steve Bruce's side were meant to be kicking off at Villa Park at 8pm on Friday 4 December before the decision was made.A statement on the club's website reads: "Newcastle United's Premier League fixture at Aston Villa on Friday, 4th December has been postponed following a significant increase in Covid-19 cases at the Magpies' Training.
