Perthshire have been assured they have nothing to fear after seven earthquakes hit the region in just over a month. Blackford experienced its sixth and seventh tremor event since September 2 at the weekend - the former of which was the biggest recorded in over a decade.The two quakes hit the village on Sunday evening with aftershocks reported in Auchterarder and Aberuthven. Perth mum's plea to move from slug-infested home for the sake of disabled son The first, a 2.5 magnitude tremor, was recorded at the nearby British Geological Society (BGS) and hit the area at 6.43pm.Then at 9.01pm it was hit again by a smaller 0.8 magnitude quake.Locals also got an abrupt early morning wake up call last Monday morning (September 28) from the fifth.
