Arsenal survived a late fightback from Sheffield United to earn three points thanks to two second-half strikes. The Gunners took the lead on the hour-mark, Mohamed Elneny and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang combining before Hector Bellerin crossed in for Bukayo Saka to head home at the far post.
Nicolas Pepe then added a fine second, firing the ball across Aaron Ramsdale in the United goal. A fine strike from David McColdrick with seven minutes remaining gave the Blades hope but there was to be no comeback, however, as Arsenal saw out the remainder of the game to pick up their third Premier League win from their opening four fixtures and leave the visitors without a point.
