Arsenal continue their plans for a rebuild under Mikel Arteta, though it seems they have taken a step back for every two going forward this summer with finances severely restricting their ability to land first-choice targets early on.
An extended window naturally means all clubs are biding their time to an extent, but it seems that Arsenal ’s preferred signings are well-known at this point...as well as the names of those they’d rather offload.
So far it hasn’t really happened in either regard, though the free transfer signing of Willian was clearly key to Arteta’s plans, as was the signing of a new deal for Bukayo Saka and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
