Andrew Lloyd Webber set to take £20million hit thanks to coronavirus but still tops list of richest musicians

Andrew Lloyd Webber is set to take a £20million hit to his fortune, thanks to the coronavirus pandemic. The 72-year-old composer is expected to lose millions of pounds due to the lockdown that has seen the closure of theatres in the West End in London and New York’s Broadway.

Andrew, who is famous for his work on classic musicals including Cats, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat and The Phantom of the Opera, was set to open new musical Cinderella, scripted by Killing Eve’s Emeral Fennell, in London in September, but it has now been delayed due to Covid-19.
