Zack Sharf Digital News Director Andre Braugher‘s cause of death has been revealed to be lung cancer, the actor’s publicist confirmed to Variety.
Braugher died December 11 at 61 years old. At the time, his cause of death was announced as due to a “brief illness.” Braugher was only recently diagnosed with lung cancer.
Braugher was best known for performances in NBC’s “Homicide: Life on the Street,” for which he won an Emmy, and Fox’s “Brooklyn Nine-Nine,” for which he was Emmy nominated.
