Gladiators legend Mike Van Wijk, who played Wolf in the original series, has slammed the BBC for subbing his offer to be a part of the revamped show.
The iconic TV show will return to our screens today (Saturday, 9 January), 24 years after the original series ended in 2000.
It will be hosted by Bradley Walsh, 63, and his son, Barney, 26 as it welcomes new Gladiators taking on challenges in the sparkling arena in front of a live audience.
The return of Gladiators has been praised by fans along with former star Wolf who said he could still do it "right now" at the age of 71.
