Andy Serkis has a strange relationship with the “Star Wars” franchise. Originally, he was brought on to play the voice and motion capture for the new big-bad of the film franchise, Snoke.
However, that character was (controversially) killed in the second film of the sequel trilogy. But he was given new life as a completely new character in the recent “Star Wars” series, “Andor.” There, he became a fan-favorite, but his character was only meant to be part of a few episodes of the show.
