Manchester Arena bomber Salman Abedi's chilling 'journey into radicalisation' was mapped out by an expert at the public inquiry into the terror attack.
But Dr Matthew Wilkinson, an expert in Islamist extremism, said he believes Abedi's younger brother, now convicted and jailed Hashem Abedi, was the 'primary radicaliser' and the more 'influential of the two in terms of personality and ideas' - because Salman was 'chosen' to carry out the atrocity. "The patterns of these things tend to show that the people who do the radicalising don't do the deed," he said giving evidence on Thursday.
Dr Wilkinson, who was instructed by the inquiry, referenced the suicide bomber's life experiences, associates and family as 'causes'.
