ACTRESS Amber Heard has said she continues to pay the price women do for “speaking out against men in power” ahead of a $100million trial against ex Johnny Depp.
The star, who will face Depp in a US court this week, told fans she hoped both herself and Johnny could “move on” after the defamation case.
Heard, 35, said: “Johnny is suing me for an op-ed I wrote in the Washington Post recounting my experience of violence and domestic abuse. “I never named him, I wrote about the price women pay for speaking against men in power.” Depp, 58, sued for $50million over the article and Heard then counter-sued for double that.
Depp lost a libel case against The Sun in 2020 after London’s High Court ruled we were right to brand the Pirates of the Caribbean actor a “wife beater”. .css-16e4f55{margin:16px 0;}.css-u6yh49{background-color:rgba(246,242,249,1);margin:16px 0;}.css-1tapza8{padding:20px 15px;}.css-1bk4jdt{padding:20px.
