John Christopher Depp II (born June 9, 1963) is an American actor, singer, producer, and musician. He has been nominated for ten Golden Globe Awards, winning one for Best Actor for his performance of the title role in Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street (2008), and has been nominated for three Academy Awards for Best Actor, among other accolades. He is regarded as one of the world's biggest film stars. Depp made his film debut in the 1984 film A Nightmare on Elm Street, before rising to prominence as a teen idol on the television series 21 Jump Street (1987–1990). He had a supporting role in Oliver Stone's 1986 war film Platoon and played the title character in the 1990 romantic fantasy Edward Scissorhands.

Amber Heard claims Johnny Depp 'penetrated her' with alcohol bottle in 'drug binge'

Amber Heard has accused her ex-husband Johnny Depp of assaulting her during a three-day "hostage situation".During the second day of their ongoing defamation trial, lawyers for the actress claimed her former partner threw bottles at her, as well as dragging her across the floor.Depp, 58, decided to take action against Heard, 35, after she wrote an opinion piece in 2018, detailing her experiences with domestic abuse.

The article in question, initially published by the Washington Post does not name Mr Depp but legal representatives for Heard say it is protected by freedom of speech.Lawyers for Depp say it "falsely implies" that she was a victim of abuse during their marriage.Now, Elaine Bredehoft who is representing Aquaman actress Heard has shared a string of allegedly abusive incidents that had been caused by his "crushing" drug and alcohol problems.She told a busy courtroom that these alleged incidents included a "drug binge" with his "good friend" Marilyn Manson, as well as a "blackout" that Heard described as a "three-day hostage situation".Bredehoft told jurors: "He has her jammed up against the bar, he has hurled bottles and bottles at her, he has dragged her across the floor on the broken bottles."He has punched her, he has kicked her, he has told her he's going to f***ing kill her, and he f***ing hates her, he's pounding at her, pounding at her and then, he penetrates her with a liquor bottle."As lawyers for Amber broadcast these claims, Depp looked and shook his head, implying he was saying "No".Meanwhile, lawyers for Johnny Depp said that Heard was putting on the "performance of a lifetime", with his lawyer Camille Vasquez adding he would "go to his grave knowing that whatever he does there will always be people.
