Amazon will stop accepting VISA credit cards in a matter of months, due to 'high fees' charged by Visa.What's worse, it will only affect VISA credit cards issued in the UK, as VISA raised their fees by 1.5 percent after the UK left the EU last year.VISA debit cards, Mastercard and American Express credit cards will still be valid on the site, as will Visa credit cards issued outside of the UK.
Some Amazon users have already begun receiving notifications to inform them of the change, which will take effect on January 19, 2022.Visa started charging an additional 1.5 percent on credit card transactions in the UK in October, as a previous cap on credit card charges enforced by the EU was no longer applicable.'Money saving expert' Martin Lewis.
