Simon Phillip Cowell (born 7 October 1959) is an English television personality, businessman and record executive. Amanda Louise Holden (born 16 February 1971) is an English media personality, actress, television presenter, singer, and author. She has judged on the television talent show competition Britain's Got Talent since the show began its run in 2007 on ITV. As an actress, Holden played the role of Mel in Kiss Me Kate (1998–2000), Geraldine Titley in The Grimleys (1999-2001), Sarah Trevanion in Wild at Heart (2006–2008), Lizzie, the Ring Mistress, in Big Top (2009), and the title role in Thoroughly Modern Millie, for which she was nominated for a Laurence Olivier Award.

Amanda Holden tells cerebral palsy teenager she has 'funny bones' in awkward BGT gaffe

Britain's Got Talent judge Amanda Holden was left looking red-faced after a "funny bones" gaffe about a comedy contestant who has cerebral palsy.

The third round of live semi-finals on Wednesday (June 1) saw teenager Eva Abley take to the stage at London's Hammersmith Apollo as she performed another comedy act.

The 14-year-old had the judging panel and the live audience in stitches as she told jokes, including several digs at Simon Cowell including his past use of Botox and a bike accident in 2020 which put him in hospital after breaking his back.

Holden went on to give the teen positive feedback. "Oh my goodness me, every single one was a banger!" she said, before adding: "You have got funny bones, there's nothing else to say."However, Amanda quickly remembered that she was talking to a person who has cerebral palsy, which can affect the ability to move and maintain balance and posture, and is the most common motor disability in childhood.Holden said: "You know what I mean, that wasn't a joke!
