From Rado to Glashütte Original, emerald-coloured watches have been making an appearance It wasn’t long ago that the only green-hued watches of note came from Rolex, and were rare enough beasts for collectors to give them nicknames such as Hulk and Kermit (both versions of the Submariner diving watch).
However, the loosening up of style codes more generally, and a blossoming interest in bold colours from the once buttoned-up watch industry, has led to an abundance of wristwatches that put the "vert" in "overt".
Leading out this cavalcade of greenery is Omega’s high-gloss edition of its Seamaster 300 diving watch, in yellow gold and with a dial cut from a piece of malachite, plus a bezel in bottle-green ceramic.
