Up to £1 billion worth of future investment and 2,000 jobs in Falkirk are expected to result from the signing of a new deal.
The UK Government, Scottish Government and Falkirk Council signed the Heads of Terms agreement on Tuesday, December 21. Under the transformative Falkirk Growth Deal, 11 projects can now use the total investment; £80m investment from UK and Scottish Governments, £45m from Falkirk Council, and £5.8m from Scottish Canals to create an Investment Zone for Falkirk and Grangemouth.
