Young carers take on 2021's virtual Kiltwalk challenge

Head over to our new Lanarkshire Live Facebook page to make sure you're up to date with the top stories in the regionBased in Motherwell, the young carers’ initiative has run for more than 25 years and supports more than 150 youngsters aged eight to 17 who care for and help relatives with various needs including disability, mental health and substance misuse.Action for Children supports them in relation to education, training and employment, increases their access to leisure, cultural and social opportunities and helps look after their overall health and wellbeing.The past year has seen the group keep in contact through online sessions including cooking, yoga, quizzes, baking and movie nights; but this weekend’s Kiltwalk will be their first.
