The Yorkshire Ripper terrorised the north of England in the 1970s, mutilating and killing his victims. From 1975- 1980, Peter Sutcliffe stabbed and bludgeoned at least 20 women and girls, killing 13 of them.
He wasn't caught until 1981, and claimed he had been sent on a mission by God. Sutcliffe was later diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia and transferred to Broadmoor Hospital, before moving to HMP Frankland.He died from coronavirus last year at the age of 74, having refused treatment.
Despite his heinous crimes, Sutcliffe had a string of female admirers and even tried to remarry in prison. Here, the Daily Star examines some of his disturbing relationships.
