Claire Spurgin, from Essex, posted a picture of herself on a night out with a friend for her 38,200 Instagram followers.She smiled widely and struck a pose in a halter-neck dress with strappy heels – but her cheerful exterior isn't everything that it seems.The 27-year-old has been battling psoriasis, an autoimmune skin condition, since 2017.During flare-ups, uncomfortable dry patches and sore dots appear across her skin and face.And even when she thinks her psoriasis has "calmed down" there are obstacles she has to overcome.Claire captioned the image: "What you see vs.

What I see."You see a girl all glammed up out having fun."Correct, I am but it was a rollercoaster of emotions to get there."What I saw, was myself sat on the bathroom floor crying because I thought my psoriasis had calmed down."I didn’t think twice about quickly shaving my legs before going out."But I soon learnt the hard way and those cut don’t stop bleeding."Claire shared a picture of her legs, which started bleeding as soon as she ran a razor over them.She was forced to apply a few plasters to the nicks before she headed out for a night on the town.While Claire didn't let the hurdle get in the way of her evening, she shared her story to show others that social media isn't always what it seems.She hashtagged the post with #NormalisePsoriasis to highlight the everyday struggles of the condition.More than 2,600 people liked the post and left positive comments.One responder wrote: "Totally relate!
