A woman suffering with coronavirus symptoms was rushed to hospital - only to see her elderly mother had been admitted just hours earlier, also with suspected COVID-19.
Sadly, Mavis Chapman's mum Hilda Lee did not to recover and died in hospital. She became the second member of the family to die having contracted the virus after Mrs Chapman's brother-in-law Frank Nuttall passed away days earlier.
Mrs Chapman, 60, had been isolating for two weeks at her home in Bolton as she has asthma. Despite her efforts to stay in, she started to show symptoms.
She told the Manchester Evening News: "I had an upset stomach, a bit of a cough, we were feeling very weak - that was the worst part of it - the breathlessness.
