A woman was shocked to find the true value on Antiques Roadshow of a necklace she bought for just £3. Appearing on yesterday's episode of the BBC show, she explained to expert Andy Mcconnell that how she "had to have it" when she spotted the jewellery in the charity shop.
She told Andy: "I think it's a Pate de Verre art glass pendant by Almeric Walter, around 1920-ish." Andy, who has been on the show for 15 years, said the necklace is in an original condition and added: "This is the first piece of Pate de Verre I've done, which gives you some idea of how rare this stuff is. "It's a lovely, lovely thing.
