Altrincham is officially the best place to live in the United Kingdom. The town in Greater Manchester came out top of a list of the 101 best locations in the country.
Judges looked for the areas with the best schools, transport links and broadband speed. Altrincham, where Stone Roses legend Ian Brown went to school, was praised as the “ultimate turnaround town” for its revitalised town centre and lively market.
