Youngsters at a primary school in Wishaw were jumping for joy at the official opening of a specially designed sensory play park.The parents of children at St Aidan’s Primary’s learning and communication support centre (LCSC) set up a charity, raising over £60,000 to have the play park installed on a disused part of the school grounds.
It features a trampoline, a chute, and a host of sensory equipment to stimulate the children’s senses.Leeann Reynolds, 33, was involved with the fundraising activities.
Her son Robbie, 6, is a pupil at the school.She said: The children are the real winners. They are absolutely loving it, and loving the freedom they have of being able to play on the trampoline and slide.
