Ricky Gervais has hit back at Scottish fans after they were left disappointed that his highly-anticipated comedy tour hadn't been announced to include a date in Scotland.The 63-year-old, known for his role in The Office, took to Twitter after some fans expressed their fury at there being no Scottish date added to the line-up for his Mortality stand-up gig.

He is set to perform to audiences throughout other parts of the UK, including Liverpool, Manchester and Newcastle, however it appears Scotland has been snubbed from the tour entirely.

In a fiery social media post on the platform Ricky hit back and branded fans "thick t***s". He wrote: "Once again, these are only the first few dates.

The next daft c**t who says "Why no Scotland?" or any other f*****g country is blocked."He continued to his 15 million followers: "I'll be announcing loads of other countries and cities over the next few months.
