The cast of Moulin Rouge gave an incredible performance at the Tony Awards Present: Broadway’s Back concert!
Tony Award winners Aaron Tveit and Danny Burstein led the performance, which was held live at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre on Sunday night (September 26) in New York City.
The cast performed the “Welcome to the Moulin Rouge” opening number, which features snippets of the songs “Lady Marmalade,” “So Fresh, So Clean,” “Rhythm of the Night,” and “Because We Can.” The opening number concluded with Natalie Mendoza appearing from the ceiling for her grand entrance as Satine.
Moulin Rouge has already won nine awards during the show and it’s most likely going to pick up the Best Musical prize at the end of the night. Click inside to watch the
