Arsenal defender William Saliba has outlined his frustrations with manager Mikel Arteta, saying the Spaniard "judged me on two-and-a-half matches".
Saliba signed for Arsenal in 2019 but was immediately loaned back to Saint-Etienne for a year. During that time, Unai Emery was sacked as manager and replaced by Arteta and Saliba has explained that "when I saw that the coach changed a lot changed for me too." Saliba did not get the chance to make his competitive debut for the Gunners this season, instead featuring for the Under-23s and in pre-season friendlies.
As a result of his lack of game time, the 19-year-old joined Nice on loan in January and he was recently named the club's player of the month after a string of impressive performances.
