Mikel Arteta has given his verdict on Martin Odegaard after making his first Arsenal start in the win over Leeds. The Norwegian, who is spending the rest of the season on loan from Real Madrid, played 78 minutes of the Gunners’ 4-2 win over the Whites.
While he did not register a goal or assist, he was part of the north London side that returned to the Premier League top 10.And the manager was full of praise for the 22-year-old and his contribution to Arsenal’s win.
Speaking to Sky Sports after the match, Arteta said: “Big credit to him to play his first Premier League start, against Leeds, after not playing a lot of football the last three months.
