First-half goals from Jesus and Raheem Sterling did the business for City but they felt aggrieved not to be awarded a penalty after the break.

City could have had a third in Lancashire but were denied a penalty after Jesus went down following a challenge from Tarkowski, with replays showing clear contract on the Brazilian forward's ankle.
