Europe has been issued a stark warning over coronavoris as the World Health Organisation (WHO) declared the continent 'the epicentre of the coronavirus pandemic'.
Speaking at a press briefing this afternoon, directer general of the WHO Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus warned: "Any countries that looks at the experience of other countries with large epidemics and thinks ‘that won’t happen to us’ is making a deadly mistake – it can happen to any country.” He said that Europe had become “the epicentre of the pandemic” as more cases of Covid-19 are now being reported each day than were reported in China at the height of its epidemic. “Our message to countries continues to be, you must take a comprehensive approach.
