Which Primark shops are trying click and collect? All we know about online shopping trial

Primark, the chain is finally trialling the next best thing.Click and collect is massively convenient for shoppers, especially when making the trek to the store in busy periods only to find your desired item isn’t available.Now the chain is testing to see how the service might work and how customers respond to it across 25 stores and 2,000 items.This isn’t online shopping though, and despite moves in the right direction, it still seems as though the chain is unlikely to switch to a digital service in the future.So far, Primark has not announced which specific stores will be involved in the trial, only stating that 25 of them will be across the North West of England.It will mean that those who live near a smaller Primark store will potentially have access to a larger selection of items.Primark’s parent company Associated British Foods (ABF) said: “Our average-size stores are only able to stock a limited range and for these customers the number of options available to them will broadly double, increasing even more for customers of our small stores.“This trial will enable us to provide more fashion, licence and lifestyle products to more customers and more often.”Primark also confirmed that the specific stores involved in the trial will be revealed over the course of the next few months.For now, the only confirmed window of time the trial will take place in is the end of 2022.The bulk of the items available through the click and collect trial will be children’s items, with ABF confirming that “everything from clothing and accessories, to decorative nursery products and toys” will be involved.The trial will be identical to any other click and collect service for the customers who have access to it.ABF explained: “They will.
