Manchester United's qualification for the Champions League will depend on the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) upholding Manchester City's two-year ban from the competition if the Premier League season is cancelled.
UEFA have urged all top-flight European leagues to do all they can to play the 2019/20 campaign to a conclusion, to avoid the difficult scenario of deciding who qualifies for the Champions League and Europa League next term.
If the Premier League season was unable to finish then UEFA will leave it up to individual leagues and national associations to decide how to settle who should earn those qualification spots, which for the Premier League is four teams into the Champions League and three into the Europa League.
