Holby City has been axed by the BBC after entertaining audiences around the country for 23 years.Broadcaster BBC decided that it was now time to create a diverse range of programming across the UK, but explained that the show will still run until March 2022.Holby City first aired on BBC One on January 12, 1999 and is a spin off from its parent show Casualty.Running for an incredible 23 series, the show gave viewers a realistic portrayal of a fast paced hospital based in fictional Holby.The show introduced ground-breaking storylines, crazy plot twists and highly emotional scenes.Since it aired in the late 90s, many fans have often questioned what happened to the original cast, so Daily Star have taken a look at where some of the original.
