The 25-year-old is being let go after a second spell with the Tigers with a deal poised to run out this summer. The club's retained list has confirmed that Clark will not be kept when his current contract runs out.
Wanderers are in need of a left-back, with currently Liam Gordon the only recognised player in that position in the squad at present.
The club would like to bring Declan John back to the University of Bolton Stadium on a permanent basis following a successful loan spell at the club last season.
