Wetherspoons is among one of several pubs that will be hiking the price of booze as it opens doors today for the first time in three months.
The chain, which is reopening the majority of its 900 premises from this morning, has admitted price increases will apply to beer, spirits and wine, as well as the food on offer.
Drinks will go up 10p, while food will increase by 20p, although prices will vary across the UK depending on location. But it's not the only chain of boozers to ramp up the cost of a pint.
The cost of lager and bitter in Samuel Smith pubs will be hiked by as much as £1 from today. Favourites like Taddy Lager will also rise from £2.30 to £3.40 and a pint of Sovereign Bitter will go up in price from £2.04 to £3.04. Sign up to
