West Brom star Taylor Gardner-Hickman landed himself in hot water after smashing the ball into a section of the Nottingham Forest fans during their Championship clash.
Frustration got the better of Gardner-Hickman, 20, following a disastrous opening half-hour for the Baggies at the City Ground.
Steve Bruce's side were reduced to 10-men on 17 minutes when Darnell Furlong was sent off, and they found themselves 2-0 behind after two goals in quick succession from Brennan Johnson and Ryan Yates.
Gardner-Hickman lost his cool in the 38th minute after Forest were awarded a free kick for a foul on Jack Colback. As players in the centre of the pitch began to regroup following the award of the set-piece, TV replays caught Gardner-Hickman attempting to boot the ball back off the advertising hoardings.Unfortunately for the West Brom youngster, he got his effort all wrong and the ball careered off the top of the pitch-side advert and into a section of the Forest fans.Tens of angry supporters stood up to berate Gardner-Hickman, who quickly apologised for his mistake.
