Marr’s The Spirit Power Tour arrived at the Hammersmith venue, and welcomed Tennant at the end of the set for covers of David Bowie’s ‘Rebel Rebel’ and Electronic’s ‘Getting Away With It’, a song on which Tennant himself sang the original lead vocals. “Well, seeing that it feels like a special occasion for Johnny boy and all, I’m gonna invite someone up to come and sing with us tonight,” Marr said from the stage. “Someone I have had the pleasure of working with for 30 years now, in the studio and on the stage.
