The iconic publication Vogue Italia is making a statement with its April cover by hitting newsstands completely blank. In a never-before-seen move, the publication will go to press with a white cover page – but not because the editorial team are short of images to document the horrific health crisis which has hit their beloved country.
Explaining the daring decision, editor-in-chief Emanuele Farneti issued a statement to social media highlighting the reasoning behind the silent cover. ‘The decision to print a completely white cover for the first time in our history is not because there was any lack of images – quite the opposite,’ he began.
