Virgin Galactic was forced to abort its first powered spaceflight in two years after the craft's rocket engine failed to ignite.

The Unity vehicle took off from the Spaceport America site in New Mexico desert in the US, and was piloted by former Nasa astronauts CJ Sturckow and David Mackay.
