Virgil van Dijk was forced off in Liverpool's pre-season friendly against RB Salzburg after suffering a nasty-looking clash of heads.
The Reds were 2-0 down in Austria in the early stages of the second half when the incident occurred, and the Dutch defender was substituted shortly afterwards, with Nat Phillips his replacement.
He left the field clutching a pad to his cut eye, but fortunately it did not look to be anything more serious and he should be available to face Arsenal in the Community Shield on Saturday.
It was a match that certainly was not going to plan for the Reds, and they found themselves 2-0 down after just 13 minutes. Get the latest transfer news straight into your inbox!
