Patients were robbed of their appointments as a result after the charity, Maggie’s Highland in Inverness, was forced to cancel their slots.Windows and doors were smashed at around 3.10am yesterday but nothing was taken.The centre, which offers care and support to cancer sufferers and their families, is closed for deep cleaning.
Maggie’s has said the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic had already left the charity £240,000 worse off with repair work and the installation of security and CCTV systems expected to impact funds even further.
Shards of glass from the broken doors and windows were spread throughout the building, with some found in the children’s play box as others even ended up among teabag and sugar containers.
