Kate Garraway was forced to apologise to viewers as her phone went off live on air. The 53-year-old ITV star was presenting Good Morning Britain alone until 6.30am, but while she told viewers the top stories, her phone interrupted.

She was speaking about Lily Allen 's Las Vegas wedding to David Harbour when a phone notification was heard. The camera cut back to a flustered Kate who quickly reached for her mobile.Kate said while chuckling: "I shall just be turning off my phone to silent - apologies for that - while we get the news, travel, and weather where you are."I'm very sorry - I'm just keeping up to date!"Later in the show Kate revealed that today marked 15 years since her and Derek tied the knot, but she couldn't see him in hospital.
