Kate Garraway has explained that a comment she made about the expected backlash to her returning to Good Morning Britain was "taken all wrong".
The 53-year-old returned to the ITV show back in July, four months after her husband Derek Draper was taken to hospital for coronavirus.Derek's doctors had advised Kate to go back to work and try and get on with a normal life while his condition remained unclear.But now, speaking of her return to work, Kate explained she had been apprehensive due to what she expected the public reaction would be.She told You magazine: "I very consciously didn't want to talk too much on air about the sadness of Derek."I don't want to bring anybody down.
