The famed publication chose a picture of the politician in casual attire, wearing Converse Chuck Taylor sneakers, and against a backdrop that is unusual for the publication.
Social media was outraged. Now, a source involved in the negotiations on the cover said that the Vice President Elect and her team were unaware that Vogue had chosen that photo and it was initially supposed to run inside the magazine, not as the cover image.
Her team had been unaware a cover change had been made until the photos leaked over the weekend. There is a second cover featuring the VP-Elect in a powder blue power
