Beast from the East in 2018, which froze Britain nationwide with unusually low temperatures and heavy snowfall. The country was at a standstill for weeks and the adverse weather caused chaos on the roads, for schools and commuters.
Although December is milder than average for this time of year, some weather experts claim sub-zero temperatures will plummet before Christmas Day - others say we'll see a wave of snow for December 25 itself.
The Met Office has responded to claims of another Beast from the East - 2020 edition - and many wouldn't be surprised if it made a bitter comeback after the year we've had.
