A doctor was shocked by the amount of abuse he received after he posted a video to social media, captioned with the message 'Merry Christmas'.
Dr Vincent Candrawinata, from Sydney, came under fire for wishing his Facebook friends 'Merry Christmas' instead of posting a message more inclusive of other religions and non-believers, such as 'Happy Holidays'.
The doctor, known as Dr Vincent, was told his post was not very reflective of religious diversity in Australia. "[They] mentioned some statistics that Australia is not all Christian, [and that] if you're saying Merry Christmas, it is inherently discriminatory to other people who are not Christian and do not celebrate Christmas," Dr Vincent said.
