Nicole Scherzinger details 'scary' lead up to Christmas as her mum had open heart surgery

Nicole Scherzinger has revealed that the lead up to Christmas was "scary" for her this year. The hitmaker, 42, took to Instagram on Christmas Day to share that she has been worried for her mother, Rosemary Elikolani, as she recently underwent her second open heart surgery.

Luckily her brave mum is on the road to recovery and the mother and daughter, alongside Nicole's sister, Keala Leemon, were able to spend the festive day together.

Nicole shared an adorable snap of herself posing in navy blue pyjamas in front of a Christmas tree with her mum and sibling and told her fans how it was the "greatest Christmas gift" to be with her mum on the special day.
