Parts of the UK could be set for a white Christmas as a polar ice bomb looks set to loom over festivities. Low pressure from the Arctic is predicted to bring icy temperatures over the next week with wintry showers forecast and snow potentially falling in some areas.
For some, it could spell disaster, with potential disruption on the roads, and temperatures plummeting Between the 16th and 25th December, the Met Office confirms that the weather will remain unsettled, with a mixture of blustery showers and brighter spells for most of the UK.
Snow has already settled in parts of central Scotland and could fall every day until the 25th, according to WXCHARTS models.
