The number of confirmed cases of coronavirus in the UK has rocketed to 6,650. It is an increase of 967 in just one day - the steepest rise since the start of the pandemic.
The latest figures comes after England's death toll went up by 46 in 24 hours, to 303, while four more deaths were reported in both Wales and Scotland.
It brings the UK-wide death toll to 335, with 16 deaths in Wales, 14 in Scotland and two in Northern Ireland. The Department of Health and Social Care confirmed that as of 9am this morning 83,945 people had been tested.
It comes as Brits are again urged to listen to official advice and stay home if they can, amid concerns many are ignoring social distancing advice.
