On Monday officers confirmed they had found a body in Lake Piru that was identified as the actress. The tragic news came six days after reports that she had gone missing on July 8.
Naya and her son Josey, four, had gone boating at the lake, and he was found alone and asleep on the boat. It's believed she saved her son's life before tragically drowning.
Gwyneth, who previously worked with Naya on Glee, took to Instagram to share a heartbreaking post in remembrance of the star.
