Holby City.However those hoping to see him reprise his iconic role as East End cad Beppe di Marco in EastEnders might be a little disappointed – as fans saw him swap the mean streets of Walford for a trip to A&E.Fans took to Twitter to share their glee in his television return, with one viewer gushing: “OMG one of my OG crushes from Eastenders is on Holby. Michael Greco where have you been?”Another added: “Hold on!! That’s Beppe di Marco!! He still looks good!”While a third commented: “Is that Michael Greco aka Beppe di Marco in Holby City?”Michael made his TV return as Anthony Carabello, a worried dad whose son Harry needed to undergo a tricky surgery.Holby City, which is due to be pulled off screens later this year, is filmed on the same Elstree site that’s home to EastEnders.And his appearance means it’s something of a Walford get together.Regular character Dr Nicky McKendrick, played by Belinda Owusu, aka EastEnders’ Libby Fox, appeared in the same episode.Dr Nicky plays the role of a frazzled nurse who failed to reassure Anthony of his son’s looming surgery.Michael’s appearance isn’t a one-off either, as his story carries on in the next episode.The 51-year-old found fame in 1998, when he arrived in Albert Square as Beppe di Marco, part of the new Italian family headed up by matriarch Rosa.He spent a decade living in Los Angeles where he has picked up roles in hit TV series Revenge and Western drama Hatfields & McCoys alongside Kevin Costner.This isn’t his first appearance in a British medical drama of late.
